This guide will help you determine what component of your Expresso bike is in need of repair.

Tips on Troubleshooting your Expresso Bike

Complaint: Unit dead or wont come on

What to check:

• Make sure unit is plugged into a good outlet and turned on.
• Listen for fans running on computer housing.  If no fans are running, press reset button on computer and see if fans come on.
• If fans do not come on, computer is defective and should be removed for repair.
• If fans come on after reset, check the next step for the monitor.

Complaint: Computer comes on but the monitor is off

What to check:

• The best check for this is to swap the monitor with another working monitor to see if it comes on.  If it does, then the monitor is defective.
• If the good monitor does not come on then the problem is the computer

Complaint: Screen freezes or acts sporadically.

What to check:

• This is generally a failure in the computer.  No other test is necessary.

Complaint: Steering is jittery or jumps around

What to check:

• You can try to re-calibrate the steering and add a line filter on the steering mechanism potentiometer but more than likely you will need to upgrade your steering unit by replacing the potentiometer with the new ESU kit.
